Insurance Experts License and Certificate of Conformity of Insurance Agencies.

 5684 numbered Insurance Law (Official Gazette: 14.06.2007 dated, 26552 number) and Regulation of Insurance Agencies (Official Gazette: 22.04.2014, 28980 number) entered into force.

The authority to issue a certificate of conformity to insurance agencies within the framework of the said laws and regulations was transferred to the Chambers with TOBB. The Communique of Treasury Undersecretariat numbered 2014/8 clarifying the problems arising from the applications was enacted.

Our insurance agent members must first know the provisions of the above-mentioned regulations and circulars. A detailed explanation is also available on the web site www.sigorta.org.tr prepared by Insurance Directorate established within the body of TOBB.

* Before the pre-application to our chamber, the companies should perform the following;

• The applicant shall register the Trade Registry and the Chamber.
• The applicant makes a preliminary application entry on the web page www.sigorta.org.tr and receives the document registration number that the system will use after the preliminary application and application has been approved. According to the nature of the application, the applicant can have the requested documents list, application form and application form (agency or expert) according to the nature of the application, Annex 2 for insurance agencies, Annex 3 commitment letter, Annex 4 information form Annex 2 commitment letter for experts and Annex 4 information form.
• The pre-application entry made by the insurance agencies, the documents brought with us and the information control is performed by us and the steps are followed and approved in TOBB.AEKS software program.
• At this stage, the company address will be visited to determine the suitability of the workplace regarding the minimum physical conditions and the necessary controls are performed. Pre-applications of the companies whose minimum physical conditions are not approved shall not be approved.
• Real person applications and certificate registration procedures are made by TOBB Insurance Directorate.
• In TOBB-AEKS software program, the company's data entry related to the pre-application is approved by the authorities via the system and is sent to TOBB Insurance Directorate at this stage.
• TOBB Insurance Directorate examines the preliminary application on the system and sends it to the Undersecretariat of Treasury via the system if deemed appropriate. Likewise, the Undersecretariat of Treasury examines the preliminary application and approves it if it deems appropriate. The preliminary application is approved with the approval of the Undersecretariat of Treasury and the applicant follows the status at www.sigorta.org.tr.
• After the approval of the Treasury, the company shall deposit the registration fee to the designated bank account number within six months and send a copy of the receipt to the TOBB. When the bank receipt is received by the TOBB insurance directorate, the final approval is given and the registration of the company is performed.
• After the registration of the applicant, it is necessary to be an agency from an insurance company within six months and add its agency to the registration.
